App name: HTML to PNG
Last updated: August 1, 2026

In plain words

HTML to PNG is a small design tool. You write HTML and CSS in the editor, check the preview, and export your work as a PNG image. That is the whole app, and it runs on your phone.

Your content never leaves your phone. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no servers holding your designs. The only times the app touches the internet are (1) a tiny automatic check that keeps outdated versions of the app from running, and (2) loading web fonts or images that you yourself choose to include in your HTML. Neither of these ever sends your content or anything that identifies you.

This policy explains all of that in detail.

What the app does

You write HTML and CSS in a built-in editor, pick from ready-made layout and style presets, preview the result, and export it as a PNG. Everything works offline — you can build and export a complete design with no internet connection at all.

What stays on your phone

All of the following is stored only on your device:

  • The HTML and CSS you type into the editor
  • Your saved templates and export history
  • The PNG images you create
  • App preferences, like editor and layout choices

None of this is uploaded, transmitted, or even visible to the developer.

What we do NOT collect

  • No account, sign-up, or login
  • No name, email, phone number, or address
  • No payment or card details
  • No location, contacts, or gallery access
  • No browsing history
  • No usage statistics or crash reports
  • No device identifiers sent anywhere
  • No personal information sent to anyone, ever

Permissions

The app asks for only two permissions:

Permission Why
Internet For the automatic version check (below) and for loading web fonts or images you choose to add to your HTML. Never used to send your content
System alert window (overlay) To let the quick share flow work — text you share into the app from another app opens cleanly. Not used to collect anything

There are no storage or media permissions. Your work is saved in the app’s own private space, and images are shared using Android’s standard share dialog.

How your work is protected

  • Your HTML and PNGs live in the app’s private picture folder, not in your public gallery.
  • The app works fully offline, so your designs never depend on a server.
  • Standard Android backup (if you have it turned on) may include this app’s data in your Google account backup, exactly as it would for any app. You control this in your device’s backup settings.

The version check

To prevent old, buggy, or insecure versions of the app from being used, the app occasionally connects to Google’s servers and asks one simple question: “Is my version still supported?”

  • It sends only anonymous technical details — your app version and device type. Nothing that identifies you, and none of your content.
  • The response tells the app whether it may keep running or whether you need to update from the Play Store.
  • If the check fails or the phone is offline, the app opens normally using the last known answer. We never block you because of a network problem.
  • This check runs through Google Firebase Remote Config. Google’s privacy policy applies to that connection: https://policies.google.com/privacy

How long data is kept

Your content stays until you remove it. No background deletions, no hidden retention.

  • HTML, templates, and exported PNGs stay until you delete them.
  • Deleting an item removes it from your device.
  • Uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes everything.

Who sees your data

No one. Your designs and any personal information are never shared, sold, or transferred to any third party. The only outside connections are the anonymous version check and fonts/images you deliberately add yourself.

Data transfers

Your content never leaves your phone. There is no cloud storage and no server holding your designs, so there are no international data transfers to describe.

Children

This app is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The only internet use is the anonymous version check and any fonts/images you add yourself.

Your rights

Since we hold none of your data, your rights are simple and automatic:

  • See it: your designs are in the app.
  • Delete it: remove items in the app, or uninstall / clear app data to wipe everything.
  • Control access: revoke permissions any time in your device settings.

If you ever feel this app isn’t being honest with you, delete it — it can’t do anything without your permission.

Security

Your designs never leave your phone and sit in the app’s private storage, out of the shared gallery. No server stores them. The strongest protection is yours: keep your phone locked and only share images you intend to share.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date at the top will be updated, and the change will be shown inside the app’s settings screen. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
